I
WILL FIGHT TO PROTECT  YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS UNDER THE LAW.
I am dedicated to protecting the rights of my clients. I am committed to my clients and the foundation of my practice is based on relationships.

I know how special it is to grow up in this area and part of the reason that I moved back here is to try to give back what I can to the community. It is my goal in opening my own law office to provide superior legal services to working people in the Toledo, Sylvania, Maumee, Perrysburg, and Northwest Ohio area.

ABOUT ATTORNEY HERMAN – EDUCATION & COURT ADMISSIONS

I grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and joined the military after graduating from Sylvania Southview High School in 1993. After serving four (4) years I was honorably discharged in 1998. I then attended undergraduate college at Virginia Tech and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Planning. In 2002 I moved back home to Toledo, Ohio and started law school at the University of Toledo, College of Law where I graduated from in 2005, graduating with a Certificate of Environmental Law. I am licensed to practice law in all Ohio and Georgia State Courts; the Federal Courts in the Northern District of Ohio, the Southern District of Georgia; and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

LEADERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP & HONORS

While in the military, I won the Humanitarian Service Medal, United States Armed Forces and the National Defense Service Medal, United States Armed Forces. As an attorney, I belong to the Toledo Bar Association; the Georgia State Bar Association; and the Ohio Employment Lawyer’s Association. I also volunteer my time in various capacities in an effort to give back to the community. When we lived in Savannah, Georgia, I was a Board Member on the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority, which is a Board made up of 25 members appointed by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah, Georgia. The Board of Directors appoints a Technical Advisory Board of partner agencies, organizations, and downtown stakeholders to provide guidance in the development of programs and activities. Since moving back to Toledo, Ohio, I have been active on the committee for the revitalization of the Historic Ohio Theatre. I am also an active member of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association and a past president of the Savannah, Georgia chapter.

FAMILY

In 2014, I moved back to Toledo, Ohio with my wife, Brooke L. Mollenkamp. We are both from Toledo, Ohio and we wanted to be closer to family. My brothers, Shawn and Shane Herman both still live in Sylvania, Ohio along with my father Paul L. Herman. Brooke’s parents also live in Sylvania. Her mother (Mary Mollenkamp) and father (Al Mollenkamp) are lifelong residents of Northwest Ohio. My father-in-law, Al Mollenkamp is a local attorney and I am sharing office space with him in downtown Toledo, Ohio.
